Free Coaching in exchange for Market Research

Fear and Climbing

I am looking for 10 people who have in the past or are now experiencing fear or anxiety with climbing to participate in a 1 hour interview with me so that I can better learn and understand your experience. With the insight and information gleaned from these interviews I will design and create programs and services to support others to move past their fears and anxieties within climbing.

In exchange for an hour of your time I am offering 3 FREE 50 minute coaching sessions which you can use to address your fears/anxieties with climbing or for any other issue or stopping point you are currently experiencing in your life. You must use all 3 sessions within 45 days of the date of the interview.

I would love for this to be a fair trade agreement and I promise that after your 3 free sessions there will be ZERO pressure to continue coaching or purchase any of my services. If you find the coaching beneficial and would like to continue I will happily have a conversation to discuss further services but I will in no way push or pressure anyone to purchase anything.

If you would like to participate in the interview but are not interested in the coaching sessions this can be arranged.

All correspondence will be kept confidential at all times unless approved by participants in writing.

If this sounds interesting to you please read further to see if it might be a good fit.

    About me:

Hi my name is Bryan Dalpes

I love to play in the mountains. Skiing, climbing, trail running, mountain biking, basically if it’s outside and it’s “fun” then I’m in!

Over the years I have worked as a mountain guide, ski instructor, ski patroller, and firefighter/EMT (to name a few). Oftentimes while working these rewarding though sometimes stressful jobs I would be overcome with anxiety, fear and doubt. I many times questioned if I was “good enough” and would compare myself to others whom I perceived as smarter, stronger and more capable. The tension from these limiting, self-critical thoughts spilled over into my relationships and personal passions. I found myself frustrated, unmotivated and constantly questioning my decisions. In short, I was not living the adventurous, joyful, passionate life I had envisioned.

Something needed to change but I couldn’t see what that was.

This brought me to coaching where I was able to “clear the fog” and see the next steps in my journey, to build a life with a fulfilling balance of purpose, passion and play. Through receiving coaching and therapy myself, I was able to hone skills to stay focused and connected to what I truly value in life even when things become stressful and overwhelming.

This enabled me to see that my experiences up to this point, while challenging and sometimes painful, have given me an invaluable perspective on the importance of embracing the journey.

I would be honored to partner with you on the next leg of your journey.

I am a professionally-trained coach through the Academy for Coaching Excellence (ACE), an accredited training program of the International Coach Federation (ICF). The ACE coaching model brings together time-tested wisdom teaching principles with the latest research in neuroscience to help you understand how to best focus on what is most important to you.
